HOLYOKE- Margaret M. (Barrett) Martin, 89, of Holyoke, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Loomis House in Holyoke. Margaret was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late James E. and Mary E. (Foley) Barrett. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and Providence Hospital School of Nursing. Margaret was a Registered Nurse for many years at the Providence Hospital, retiring in 1987, and a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Holyoke. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond F. Martin Sr., who died in 1997 and their daughter, Mary Gertrude Martin who died in 1954. Margaret is survived by her children, Raymond F. Martin Jr. and his wife Sandra of Gales Ferry CT, Theresa M. Vincent of Chicopee, Patricia A. Brunelle of Salem, SC, Margaret M. Martin of Shelton, CT and Ann M. Donah and her husband James of Easthampton, MA. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. , followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery, all in Holyoke. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Loomis House, 298 Jarvis Ave. Holyoke, MA 01040.
