Elsa Maria Lopez Rivera

HOLYOKE- Elsa Maria Lopez Rivera, 45, of Holyoke, died Thursday April 26 at home, surrounded by her family. Elsa was born in Salinas, Puerto Rico daughter of Juan Lopez and the late Ana Rivera. She was a kitchen worker in local public schools and a communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. Besides her father, she is survived by her children Rodney and Argeniz Alvarado, and Kirsissis Alvarado and her husband Jose Lopez; two brothers Juan and Armando Lopez; four sisters Ana and Mirna Rivera and Olga and Norma Lopez; and four grandchildren: Angelica, Jose, Ariana and Kinaysha. Elsa was predeceased by her mother Ana D. Rivera. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St., followed by a Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at 10am. Burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Monday evening from 4 to 7pm.
