Amelia T. (Pastormerlo) Paul

HOLYOKE: Amelia T. (Pastormerlo) Paul, age 82, of Holyoke, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Holyoke Medical Center. She was born in Ludlow, daughter of the late Batista and Sophie (Kareta) Pastormerlo and was educated in the Chicopee schools. Amelia was a retired twenty year Office Clerk at Halmar Distributors in Holyoke, and was raised in Chicopee before moving to Holyoke more than 60 years ago. She was a former member of the Springdale PTO, enjoyed ceramics at DEL Ceramics, and was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Parish. Amelia was "Blessed with her family" and enjoyed being with family more than anything. She was an avid Red Sox fan who loved watching the games with her bowl of popcorn. Amelia is survived by her husband of 64 years, William F. Paul, two sons: William J. Paul and his wife Nancy of Chicopee and David A. Paul and his wife Sue of Hinsdale MA, two daughters: Lisa M. Lavelle and her husband John of Altamont NY and Christine S. Allridge and her husband Gary of Lansdale PA, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, a brother Joseph Pastormerlo of Granby and a sister Dorothy Sikes of Chicopee. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Saint Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 am
