The Right Rev'd +Russ Durocher, D.D. of Holyoke, MA died on March 22, 2017 at the age of 66. He was an Independent Esoteric Catholic Bishop, Gnostic Teacher and Counselor as well as a highly regarded Hermetic Astrologer with a clientele worldwide. +Russ was born on August 10,1950 in Holyoke to Russell A. and Olive C. Durocher. His early career was as a district manager for Western Mass. Theaters including the Suffolk, Strand and Victory theaters in Holyoke and as the Director of the Paramount in Springfield prior to his crowning achievement, in that field, as the Director of The Colonial Theater of Keene, NH. which he kept vital until a nonprofit ensured it's survival in 1993. Concurrently, he embarked on a metaphysical path which consumed the remainder of his life which was devoted to helping others to help themselves through knowledge. +Russ completed studies with Saint Albans Theological Seminary,Unity School for Religious Studies , The Church of Light and The Builders of the Adytum to name merely a few. He is survived by his mother Olive of Holyoke, his sister Lynne Durocher Pilgrim of Westfield, MA and life partner James Feuerstein. All services were private. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home handled arrangements.
