HOLYOKE
Nancy M. Yelle, 53, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday March 31, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Ernest G. and Rena M. (Rouillard) Yelle, attended Holyoke High School and received a Cosmetology Certificate from Dean Technical High School. She was the proprietor of Hair Classic in Holyoke for many years. Nancy was a member of the American Cancer Society's "Look Good, Feel Better" Workshop. She was involved with the Providence Ministries, was a member of the Springfield Symphony Choir, and a foster parent. Nancy was also involved in many outdoor activities, and a friend of Bill W. She is survived by her siblings: David Yelle and his wife Laurie of Maryland, Francis Yelle of Holyoke, Rachel Joyce and her husband Kevin of Holyoke, Cyndy Yelle of Holyoke, and Lisa Lavelle and her husband Jamie of Holyoke, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her K-nine family, Scooby, Lyla, and the late Ernie. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Henry Yelle. The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St., followed by a funeral service in Skinner Chapel, 300 Appleton St., at 10:00am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Friday from 3:00 to 6:00pm.
