Lino J. Iacchini, 53, of Holyoke died unexpectedly on Monday, February 13, 2017 at his home. He was born in Holyoke, the son of Lino A. and the late Patricia R. (Ouellette) Iacchini of Holyoke. Lino was a 1981 graduate of Holyoke High School and had worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator for several area contractors. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council Council #90, Local #596 Labor Union and South Hadley Sportsman's Club. Lino had a love for dancing and a desire to make everyone laugh. Besides his parents, Lino is survived by a son, Jesse Johnson of Chicopee and a daughter Jillian Richard and her husband Nick of Chicopee, two grandchildren, Brandon and Nicholas, who meant everything to him; a brother, David Carr and five sisters, Mary Gleason, Irene Prince, Christina Stewart, Phylene Amuso and Ruth Dansereau; his long-time friend and mother of his children, Janet (Nadeau) Watson; his former wife, Sharon; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. All services are private. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lino to The Knights of Columbus Council #90, 250 Westfield Road, #4, Holyoke, MA 01040. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
