SOUTH HADLEY - Jack Ross 62, passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2013. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late George V. and Eunice Ross and was a graduate of Holyoke High School and Bryant College. Jack's work experience in the insurance field included part ownership of Ross Insurance of Holyoke and most recently, Granfield, Bugbee & Masse in Chicopee. Jack was a genuine person with a positive attitude and quick wit, always putting a smile on the faces of those around him, especially his family and friends. Jack is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Pat Dillon, and three children, Andrew of Boston, MA, Hallie DeMasi of Wilton, CT and her husband Michael, and Caitlin of Brookline, MA. Just two weeks ago, Jack was thrilled to meet his first grandchild, Drew Michael DeMasi. Jack was very proud to have three successful and beautiful children who he loved spending time with. He is the brother of Sue (Ross) Fitzgibbon of South Hadley and George Ross of Holyoke. Jack's nieces and nephews are Jamie Fitzgibbon of Easthampton, Kara Fitzgibbon of Boston, Brooke (Bennett) Thomas of Williston, VT, Whitney (Bennett) Harrington of Longmeadow and Megan Ross of New York. Jack will always be remembered for his kind heart, mellow nature and everlasting love for his family. He will be forever loved and missed. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 8:45 from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass in Saint Theresa Church in South Hadley at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Thursday April 4th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd.
