CHICOPEE: Jean P. (Richardson) Scott, 90, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully Monday February 27, 2017 at Willimansett Center East. Jean was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Moses W. and Janet E. (Youngson) Richardson, and was educated in Holyoke schools. She was a Seamstress for over 40 years at Filbeck Uniform in Holyoke, retiring in 1993. Jean was a communicant of First Lutheran Church in Holyoke where she was a member of the church choir. She was a member of the South Hadley Choirlites and the Holyoke Turn Verein. Jean was predeceased by a son Thomas Scott III, a son David Scott, a daughter Suzanne LeClair, and a sister Pauline O'Donnell. She is survived by her son Barry Scott, her daughter Janet L. Scott, both of Chicopee; 18 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday March 4, 2017 at 12:00pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The family asks to please omit flowers. Donations may be made to the National Hemophilia Foundation, 7 Penn Plaza, Suite 1204, New York, NY 10001.
