HOLYOKE
Helena (Dysy) Piekarczyk, 88, of Holyoke, died Tuesday January 31, 2017 at Holyoke Medical Center. Helena was born and educated in Poland, and has been here for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanislaw Piekarczyk in 1982. She is survived by her son, George Piekarczyk and his wife Susan of Holyoke; a daughter, Theresa Boudreau and her husband Francis of East Longmeadow; four grandchildren: Francis Boudreau, Jr., Peter Boudreau and his wife Nancy, Stephanie LaPierre and her husband John, and Sarah Piekarczyk; four great-grandchildren: Jessica Boudreau, Jenna Boudreau, Nathan LaPierre, and Manny Boudreau; and a sister, Anna Szymura of Poland. The funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by Mass at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church. Burial will be held in mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Mass.
