Gerard "Jerry" Duval, 72, passed away peacefully on March 15th 2017 at Mont Marie in Holyoke. Born in Hartford, CT he was 3rd in line of 12 children to be born to Gerard Duval and Irene Degaraff. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 30 years, Marianne Duval. Jerry was an auto-mechanic, owner of "Jerry's Auto" in Holyoke. There never was a vehicle that he couldn't repair. He was an Eagle Scout and earned a brown belt in karate. He loved fishing, boating, archery, and firearm target practice. He leaves two daughters: Cynthia Beaudry of South Hadley, and Laura Grondin of Westfield, and three stepchildren: Laureen Bronner of Chicopee, Annette Labonte of Franklin, and Daniel Marion of Franklin; his siblings: Richard Duval of El Toro, CA, Roger (Marilyn) Duval of South Hadley, MA, Ronald (Barbara) Duval of So. Dartmouth, MA, Raymond (Lisa) Duval of Palmer, MA, Michael Duval of Chicopee, MA, Ann (Ray) Picard of Enfield, CT, Elaine (Roger) Houle of Chicopee, MA, Jean (Ron) Gresty of West Brookfield, MA, Theresa (Sumner) Gilman of Longmeadow, MA, Susan (Jim) Lacasse of Chicopee, MA, and Mary (Steve) Johnson of Newark, Delaware. There are no calling hours. Services to be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38101-0050 or the AKA (American Kidney Fund) 145 Pinelawn Rd., Suite 320N, Melville, NY 11747 , or a charity of one's choice.
