SOUTH HADLEY: Frances (Paolucci) Mytkowicz, age 95, of South Hadley, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Center for Extended Care in Amherst. She was born in Diecimo, Italy, daughter of the late Eusebio and Carolina (Grazani) Paolucci and was a graduate of the former Sacred Heart High School in Holyoke. Fran was a longtime communicant of St. Patrick Church. She is survived by three sons, Allen (Kathy) of Vancouver, Canada, James (June) of South Hadley, Richard (Cindy) of Lynn; two daughters, Jean Mullins (Richard) of Reno, NV and Joanne Mytkowicz of Belchertown; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Fran was predeceased by her husband Joseph C. Mytkowicz, her brother James Paolucci. and her sister Mary Paolucci Zimmerman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley followed by burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street in Agawam. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in memory of Fran to the South Hadley Council on Aging, 45 Dayton Street, South Hadley, MA 01075 or St. Patrick Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley, MA 01075. Fran's family wants to thank the wonderful staff at the Center for Extended Care in Amherst for their compassionate care of Fran over the last six months. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is has been entrusted with the arrangements.
