Edward J. Kobylanski, of Belchertown, passed away on his 62nd birthday on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Marion and Albina (Hnitecka) Kobylanski and was educated in Holyoke schools. Edward was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era serving from 1972 to 1975. He was a retired Machinist working at Riverview Machine Company and later Holyoke Machine Company. He is survived by his wife, Lynn (Leveille) Kobylanski; a son, Paul Kobylanski; a daughter, Mickalina Reid and her husband Griffin; four grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Kobylanski and his wife Ellie; five sisters: Mary Welch and her husband Matthew, Helen Perlak and her husband Joe, Irene Coty and her husband Ted, Diane Leslie and Stella Moran. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Theresa Marjanski and her husband Lucian and Janie Kobylanski. The funeral will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Edward to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
