CHICOPEE: David V. Clark passed on March 5, 2017. He was born in Holyoke, MA to Arthur "Bud" Clark and Doris (Baker) Clark on May 30, 1942. Dave graduated from Holyoke High School in 1960 and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1965 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation he went to work for Holyoke Gas and Electric for 5 years before moving on to work as a Project Manager for Western Builders of Granby, MA until his retirement. He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Donna (Hunter) Clark from South Hadley, MA. Together they raised five children. Son, Tim Clark and his wife Cassie Witek of Adams, MA. Son, Scott Clark and his wife Kari of Somersworth, NH. Son, Darren Clark and his wife Lindsay of South Hadley. Son, Mike Clark and his wife Carolina Ornellas of Chicopee, MA and daughter, Heather Clark. He is also survived by his two siblings Caroline Clark of West Springfield, MA and Brian Clark of Holyoke, MA and his 11 grandchildren Katie, Sam, Luka, Owen, Maley, Julianna, Ryan, Nina, Grace, Jordan and Peyton. He loved his family, golfing, fishing, and cheering on his beloved Bruins. Dave enjoyed spending time at his home away from home, Cape Cod and in later years, Naples, FL. He could often be found enjoying a good pint and live music. He will be deeply missed by best friends and family. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 8th at 10:30 a.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. Holyoke followed by burial at Forestdale West Cemetery, 210 Rock Valley Road, Holyoke. Calling hours will held Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of David to American Lung Association, 393 Maple Street, Springfield, MA 01105 or the Food Bank of Western MA, P.O. Box 160, Hatfield, MA 01038 (Attn: Development Dept).
