David Edward Dows, 62, of Chicopee, died on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in his home after a long battle with renal failure and its complications. He was raised in Lowell, son of the late Edward and Jenney (Goy) Dows. During high school David worked as a gas station attendant and later as a fry cook at Hoar's Fish Market in Lowell. He joined the United States Air Force after high school and after his tour of duty David accepted a position at Westover Air Force Base, where he worked for 25 years. He was a lifelong member of the American Motorcyclist Association and shared his love of motorcycles with friends and family. David is survived by a sister, Laurie Dows, a brother, Joseph Dows and his wife Laura, all of Manchester, NH; his nieces, Laura Kaminski of Manchester, NH, and Rachel Dows of Pepperell, MA; a nephew, Cory Dows, of Pepperell, MA and his aunts and many cousins.
