Basillis Pappas passed away on January 20th 2017. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Arthur and Julia Pappas of Holyoke Ma. He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Kathy Pappas of Easthampton, a son, William Pappas of Sunderland, and a daughter, Jennifer Pappas of Springfield. Three sisters: Mary Ricco of Longmeadow, Penny Doyle of Holyoke, and Adrian of Iowa. He grew up in Holyoke and attended Holyoke Schools. He served for 8 years in the United States Army and was deployed to both Korea and Vietnam. He served this country with pride and even up to his final years said he would defend this country with his life if ever needed. He loved football and baseball, with the Patriots and Red Sox being his favorite teams. Calling hours will be at the Holy Trinity Greek church on Wednesday January 25th from 10:00am till 11:00am. Funeral service to follow at 11:00am, then will proceed to the MA Veteran's Cemetery, Agawam, for 1:00pm committal. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements
