HOLYOKE: Anna M. (Sullivan) Ginley, age 93, of Holyoke passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Mount Saint Vincent Care Center in Holyoke. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late John and Mary (Christle) Sullivan and was a graduate of the former Sacred Heart High School. Anna worked in the Holyoke Assessor's Office for twenty five years, retiring in 1989 as a Senior Clerk Typist. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Ginley, Sr. in 1992. Anna is survived by her children, Thomas J. Ginley, Jr. and his wife Anne of Holyoke; Terrance C. Ginley and his wife Jo-Ann of South Hadley, Mary Chris Snyder of Holyoke and Tricia Sabourin and her husband Dave of Holyoke, nine grandchildren, Myles Ginley, Maureen Slovack, Kayla and Christopher Snyder, Patrick and Meghan Ginley, Katie, Sean and Matt Sabourin, three great grandchildren, Gabby Slovack, Isabella Slovack, Jack Ginley and several nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her son-in-law, Jeff Snyder and nine siblings, John, Jim, Bill, Rose and Helen Sullivan, Mary Doherty, Michael Donoghue, Eileen Lappin Rae and Kay Batchelor. The Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church, 23 Sycamore Street. Burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 8th from 3 to 6 p.m. The family requests memorial donations be made in memory of Anna to Sisters of St. Joseph, 577 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104 or Mount Saint Vincent Care Center, 35 Holy Family Road, Holyoke, MA 01040.
